In lacrosse, he earned all-conference and academic all-conference honors as a sophomore, as well as all-county and academic all-county mentions his junior and senior seasons... As a member of the football team, he was named to the all-conference and academic all-conference teams as a junior, and during his senior campaign was given all-county and academic all-county mentions... During his senior year, he was awarded the National Football Foundation Top Scholar-Athlete Award for Nassau County...
Personal: Son of Neil and Nancy Koenig... His father was a two-time All-America lacrosse goalie at Fairleigh Dickinson University... A member of Trumbull College, Koenig majors in History of Science/History of Medicine and pursue a career in orthopaedics.
