At Upper Darby High School: A four-year letterman in lacrosse, Carafides captained the squad during his junior and senior seasons, earning all-state mentions during his freshman, junior, and senior campaigns... In addition, he was a member of the school's soccer team as a junior and senior...

Personal: Carafides is the son of Evangelos and Maria Carafides... He is a member of Davenport College and is an economics major... His sister and brother played varsity lacrosse at Drexel University and West Chester University.
