At Rocklin High School, Matthew lettered in track, soccer and basketball. He captained his high school track team, setting a school record in the 110-meter hurdles. He was Valedictorian of his graduating high school class.

Matthew is a senior in Jonathan Edwards College. He is a Biology major hoping to pursue a career in medicine. His other interests include art, writing, sports medicine and the Olympics.
