AT YALE: Wittman was hampered by an injury for much of his rookie season. His first career points came in Yale's victory over Savannah State. He also scored two points and had a rebound in a win over Dartmouth. On Yale's trip to Spain last spring, Wittman saw extensive playing time and averaged 6.0 points in five games.

BEFORE YALE: Wittman was the captain at the Trinity-Pawling School as a senior and helped lead the team to the New England Class B championship. He averaged 14 points and 12 rebounds and was a two-time all-league selection.

PERSONAL: Reid, born Apr. 17, 1986, is the son of George and Juanin Wittman. His father is a former professional rugby player on the Argentinean national team.
