AT YALE: White, who appeared in nine games as a rookie, can play either point guard or shooting guard. His first career points came at Bucknell, and against Savannah State he had two points, three rebounds and a steal in seven minutes. White saw extensive playing time, predominantly at point guard, on Yale's trip to Spain last spring and averaged 6.6 points.

BEFORE YALE: White, a first team All-CIF selection in 2005, led the Harvard-Westlake School to four straight Southern Sectional championships, the first time that happened in school history. He was the recipient of the John R. Wooden Division III High School Player of the Year Award and was a three-time first team all-league selection.

PERSONAL: Ed, the son of Ed and Mary White, was born on Sept. 30, 1986.
